1841 Census for the Vicarage
The 1841 Census document for the vicarage at Buckland Newton shows the Reverend James Venables living at the house with his wife Caroline and their four children Edmund, Caroline, Thomas and Ann. James Venables’ age on the document is given as 60 and his wife Caroline as 50.
Servants at the Vicarage
In the year 1841 theVenables family had two female servants living with them at the vicarage. The eldest, Ann Parker, was aged 32 and the youngest was 26 year old Harriet Alner.
