                                          W riter-director Paul Greengrass and cinematographer Barry Ackroyd BSC, two of Britain’s finest filmmakers, were surely a collaboration just waiting to happen. Both accomplished documentarists, their award-winning careers had progressed almost in parallel until virtually colliding four years ago on
the dramatic recreation of terrible events in Londonderry when a 1972 civil rights march ended infamously in a huge loss of life.
Shooting exactly at the same time, Greengrass made Bloody Sunday
and Ackroyd lit Sunday for director Charles McDougall to mark the 30th
Anniversary of the tragedy, which still resonates in Northern Ireland.
