Electricity costs for Mitre House (a previously raised query) have fluctuated alarmingly as the following annual costs in the accounts amply testify:
Electricity costs to Dec 2006 - £192
Electricity costs to Dec 2007 - £619
Electricity costs to Dec 2008 - £1794
Electricity costs to Dec 2009 - £934
As you are aware - I was for some considerable time, forwarding British Gas' bills over to KFH as they kept coming direct to Mitre House and I hope we took advantage of the cheaper tariff as offered by British Gas on 29th July 2009 which I did forward just before their deadline for acceptance (3rd August 2009) to accept their cheaper tariff rates.
And finally, so as to properly ascertain Surecast's internal estimated costs totalling £47,406, we need to know their cost simply for painting and decorating as it is not clear from their estimate/quote: If grouting (£8000) is NOT included in their £47,206, then decoration is £18,241 - but if grouting is included, decoration drops to £10,241 - my guess, but needs confirmation, is the former, grouting NOT included leaving £18,241 for decorations - leaving the following understandable costs which we live in tenants are at present deciding upon as previously stated - and most surely cancelling this time around although Mrs Sigg (non resident) is in favour - anyway the NON essentials are:
£12,250 plus vat for Posh to clean all the marble in the block
plus an additional £8000 plus vat for re-grouting if required making a total for both of £20,250 plus vat. £16,915 for PIP Lift decor etc -

Further to your email below, it is with pleasure that I respond accordingly
1. Electrical repairs. The cost of £2690 was made up from several invoices for various works that were undertaken. These were as follows:
Install new isolators/switchgear, run new main meter tails and new main earth cable to system, make all connections of existing circuit cables to the new switchgear.£1,811.25
Call out to trace fault to communal supply. £88.25, resulted in the above works
Supply & Fix time delay push button light switch to G/f replace existing switch, repair cable & replace light fitting £567.00
Electrical repair £103.50
Your comments have been noted in regards to matrix fees, however these are in keeping with other contractors for similar jobs.
2. Locks keys and doors - the cost of ordering & supplying additional door keys is charged back to the individual lessees when they order the keys.
3. Drain cleaning 7 maintenance- the invoice for £1,366 was for cutting out sections of the pipes and jetting through etc.
4. Legal fees- you are correct we recharge the lessee
5. Unfortunately the electricity problem is still haphazard and is being sorted out by our accounts department.
They have calculated the expected expenditure.
