Sorry for a delayed reply to your extended note.
I met up with Paul last week to go over the work which we are planning to embark on.
As no work has been done for many years we have a lot to catch up with and it will have to be done at different stages for practical reasons.
The potential boxing of the meters, The cleaning of the stone work, The painting,
The wood work,
The lighting
Windows to be free of painting
Brass work
Front door (to be back to its original natural colour )
In my opinion the lift cage from bottom to top should be properly painted or I should say sprayed rather than being just clean .this is an important feature of the common part and should not be ignored.
Paul has already made tremendous progress ,we have several quotes and therefore we are in a position to make several decisions .I am sure that most of you think about colours but in my opinion this is the last thing on the list .
I am most happy to meet up and perhaps you can suggest a few dates

We’re pleased to see how the refurbishment works are taking shape and much appreciate and acknowledge the tremendous work Paul has done to prepare this briefing note and assemble the underlying quote.
This is a very exciting project and we look forward to finally getting some work done to improve the current appearance of Mitre House Communal Areas.
Once this is all done we should celebrate, and we will be happy to prepare a big tiramisu’ (Italian cheesecake) for all of us, with a special portion for Paul (who liked it already in the past)!
