So there can be no misunderstanding whatsoever, I asked Paul to let me have copies of the various emails he received from you, Michele and Leigh Pemberton to substantiate the fairness or not, of the Vote. Copies of these six emails are attached for your perusal and authentication.
In my opinion, a perusal of these emails fully substantiates the validity of the vote as presented by Paul. But does raise serious doubts as to why both Mr Leigh Pemberton did not admit to changing his vote, or indeed you, Samya, for not explaining yourself at the meeting. By doing so, Paul would have been fully exonerated and apologised to by his accusers.
As I think you are well aware, Paul is still being accused of manipulating the vote, which patently he did not, but he refuses to give credence to such silly accusations by answering them, preferring to ignore it and make light of it. He is as you are well aware, very British. In that respect, I fully agree with his insightfulness, as indeed does Flat 6 (Jamil Raja).
2) My correspondence over the matter of Section 20 Notices has nothing whatsoever to do with the decorations, simply the issuing or not of the Notice. No works, whatever they might be, can be progressed until these Section 20 Notices have been served and the appropriate time given (30 days on each of the three required notices) for responses from Lessees as to their comments etc. My correspondence makes abundantly clear that, despite some Lessees requesting other agencies to issue these Notices, they will, and can only be, issued by Mitre House Management Limited. I hope that answers your misunderstanding fully.
3) There is no reason for you to write a letter to one and all if you wish to await further developments, or comment from others.
4) It is important to appreciate that those people who live here as home, namely Flats 2,4,7,8 and 9 have the deciding opinions over those who do not live here all the time, or indeed, like Flats 1, 5 and 6 are sublet and make money out of the block as opposed to contributing to the neighbourliness and friendliness we live-in residents enjoy. There is therefore an obvious bias, but regrettably, except for Flat 9 who have only been here two years, it is only Paul and I who, along with you (and Lisa) who really live here, so it is natural for some to consider you might be biased, most especially Michele & Susanna.
It is your decision to remain neutral as and when you require, but as with the Voting, it is best to make that clear at the appropriate time, as there was an opportunity to state that you wished to simply Vote with the majority (i.e. neutral), but you did not vote neutral and decided to vote either A or B, which Paul believed to be Preference B after your discussion and emails, despite initially voting Preference A. I think it should by now have become apparent to you that this neutrality in this particular instance has caused a great deal of unnecessary and regrettable complications and no end is in sight as to how to finalise the various fractions and disputes at present within Mitre House. As I think you are aware, Paul, Jamil and I are in total agreement on all aspects to date regarding Mitre House Management Limited with not a neutral amongst us. Michele, on the other hand, is totally opposed to everything we are attempting to do within the company. I regret there- fore, that your choice is either one or the other to deal with, as there is no middle, neutral way. I hope that makes the situation very clear and transparent.
5) Your comments re: Flat 6 etc which both Paul and I are well aware of the upsets caused to you by various sublet tenants over the years, be that Flat 1 below, or Flats 5 and 6 adjacent. We will discuss with Flat 6 (Jamil Raja) and ascertain his comment. In the meantime it would help if you keep a diary of all and any disturbances etc, not just of Flat 6, but any others, and we can then progress these matters with the relevant Lessee.
6) If you would be very kind, I would prefer to maintain our communication via email as opposed to phone. As you know, I am at Mitre House most days and we can always discuss in person, which is so much more preferable.
