Edoardo’s first words were:
‘We should try and reward
our audience with a great
movie with great images
and cinematic splendour.’
Mozzarella Stories. I have to say it wasn’t easy given its characters and a story that was itself very demanding set in a realistic yet imaginary world that only Edoardo could have created.
Fortunately, we had about four weeks of pre-production, and that proved crucial as during that time in Caserta, we pored over the script and worked out how to photograph the film. We watched a lot of movies, music videos, commercials and stills until we agreed on the imagery for all the different scenes.

I thought.
I’ve known Edoardo for quite a
while and I knew he meant it.
He’s always been inspired by films which try to generate a genuine ‘experience’. Even though it was his first feature and low budget, we always tried to stick to that original intent and create an original style.
In pre-production, we worked hard to establish the right look for
