T here are fantasy elements in the shows, and we
approached each one differ- ently. We used Streak filters, closed the shutter, used
smoke, increased the frame rate or shot a scene backwards with the actor acting backwards too.
I didn’t do any pulling or pushing of the stocks, as I liked their natural look. It was the first time, for me, working with an operator on A cam- era. We discussed the scene and gave each other borders for my lights and his framing.
As I did not use any overhead rig- ging for this show and I like to bring lights in as close as possible to the edges of frame, there was no room to pan too far but our operator, Ian Adrian, did a great job.” ■
