MESSAGE from Craig Jensen, President
Happy March! This year seems to be ying by and I’m sure it is because we are extremely busy, which we all know is an excellent problem.
are so many bene ts to these kinds of partnerships and we know that keeping those lines of communication open between industry professionals and municipalities is half the battle.
We are at the beginning stages of this endeavor right now but please stay tuned. We hope to be communicating some updates to you over the next couple months including details on ways you can get involved.
It was great to see such a large turnout at last month’s
Industry Awards Gala. The momentum is back and
the Gala was an excellent opportunity to celebrate it.
Speaking of momentum in the Industry, BAGI announced
in a recent press release that permits numbers hit the
highest numbers since 2007, seeing increases for fourteen
straight months. The growing Indianapolis economy has provided consumer con dence which has created demand for the new housing rebound increasing the buzz in our marketplace. In fact, according to the National Association of Home Builders, Builder Con dence is at the highest level since 2005 – which is also something to celebrate!
On a different note, as I mentioned at the Gala, one of my goals
this year is to create an outreach program geared toward local municipalities and educating elected of cials and staff. The program will educate them on the current market and the speci cs on what is needed to allow for growth in all price points, and the importance of being able to serve the demands of local perspective buyers. There
CRAIG JENSEN
