COVID-19 has caused plenty of disruption in the 2020 football season, but with three weeks to go and if the populace minds their manners there is daylight to run to.
6A has red-hot Boulder Creek manning the top seed. Playoffs are what everyone craves so here’s a look at the 6A Conference as the schools play three rounds Nov. 27 through Dec. 12 to decide the champi- on.

Boulder Creek’s opponents are 28-33. Four are playoff teams - Casteel, Sandra Day O’Connor, Shadow Ridge and Sunnyslope. Queen Creek’s opponents are 25-34. Three are playoff teams - Casteel, Highland and Liberty. Sandra Day O’Connor’s opponents are 38-24. Five are playoff teams - Verrado, Desert Edge, Highland, Shad- ow Ridge and Boulder Creek. Highland’s opponents are 28-29. Four are playoff teams - Sandra Day O’Connor, Quen Creek, Chandler and Hamilton. Casteel’s op- ponents are 33-23. TEAMS IN BRIEF
Boulder Creek: The Jaguars nearly ran the table, losing their opener in the waning moments by one point to Casteel. They won the Southwest Region title, finished with a seven-game winning streak and are in the play- offs for the fourth year in a row. They haven’t made it out of the first round in any of those years, losing to Queen Creek, Chandler and Perry, respectively. Senior running back Jacob Cisneros rushed for 1,211 yards with 100 yards or more in all eight games. He added 37 receptions for 567 yards and totaled 27 TDs. Played first-round opponent Shadow Ridge earlier in the sea- son and won handily, 49-12.
