Sonoma County Homeless Human Rights Crisis Worsens
Kathleen and Vesta, this is excellent, towering above anything the PD has ever written about the homeless, always missing, in spite
of our prompts, that figures for any sheltering or serving are bogus, giving the reading-public the belief that the homeless are being sheltered, or that those not going to a shelter are willfully staying out in the weather out of cussedness.
When, instead of milk and cookies, I leave Santa a hundred dollar bill and ask for $25 in change and a Mercedes, this partly explains why I get neither:
“We should have all known ‘fore Saint Nick made a dash
There’s a sign on the sleigh: “Santa Carries No Cash.”
The Night Before Christmas (Family Pet 12/18) is a masterpiece!

 Optimism & Death
I really enjoyed your opening words (Dear Readers 12/18) - sharing of your dad’s optimism and of your near death experience. Important and formative personal things which have brought you to the life of love and service and joy you have now. I can’t say my dad was clearly an optimist, but he was an idealist and that helped to form who I am. I also had a near death experience, which I’ll share some day, which helped form my own daily sense of gratitude and motivation to live fully.
Love, Leslie Curshack
I had a few responses to near death experience others have had. Most asked not to be published. But we all share the same white light and astounding good, so it just re-affirms my belief that death is not as frightening as people fear. It’s just leaving life that is so hard. This is a wondrous experience. I have to believe there is more to come. ~ Vesta
An inspirational thought for 2019:
As you continue on your journey Towards reaching your life’s goal, Keep your eye on the donut
And not on the hole!
Wishing you a Happy and
Gratitude to you both, Bob Higham
We are fools to ignore our experience with homelessness during the depression. We must apply
what we know will work for those who want to change their lives, and provide opportunities of support to re-enter society in charge of their own destiny. We are a socialist nation,
but we aren’t good at it yet and this challenge is before us.

I‘d like to offer some thoughts on the cannabis fear issue. To assume that the opposition to this commercial grow is based on fear is to ignore
the very real and serious problem of
Creation of living quarters near public transportation that provides access to centers of employment is simple and works for the majority of homeless. For the large number of homeless that simply cannot function in our society we must help them by controlling and limiting their impact on themselves and others through effective conservatorship programs.
This is the chance of a lifetime for supporters of good government to make this change.
