Sebastopol Little League Celebrates 60 Years Serving Kids

President Lou Castleberry said that the League is trying to reach all players from the  rst teams in 1957. “We’ve made contact with 17 of the players,” explained Castleberry, “but we’d like to reach more. The men would be in their late 60 to 70’s. The League would like to honor all of the players, or their surviving family members, at our Opening Day festivities.” Castleberry can be reached through the League’s website: sebastopollittleleague.org.

Once only a boy’s organization, Little League now serves boys and girls, ages 4 through 15. All players, coaches, managers and their teams will be on the  eld in uniform on Opening Day. “I’m very proud of our program that teaches baseball skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship,” bragged Castleberry. “My father, Chip Castleberry, started playing in the League in 1958. I played in the League as a kid and have been coaching teams over the last 7 years. Many of our coaches are former players and we have several third-generation players.”
