FAIR FUN = Food - Flowers - Farm Animals - Music & Racing!
If you love rough and tumble action, you’ll love all of the events at the Chris Beck Arena. The PRCA Rodeo brings pro rodeo skills on Saturday, August 5. This year, there are three nights of Monster Truck action on August 10, 11, and 12. Then, a fair time favorite, the Destruction Derby, will bring more fun on Sunday, August 13. These events require an event ticket and Fair admission.
Pre-sale tickets can also be purchased at one of our o cial outlets: Friedman’s Home Improvement in Santa Rosa & Petaluma, all Sonoma County Lucky Supermarkets, plus select Lucky Supermarkets in Mendocino County, Marin County, Napa County & Solano County, as well as select local markets listed online. Admission is $13 for ages 13 and up and $7 for kids 7 to 12. Kids 6 and under always get into the Fair free. Plus, the Fair o ers special discount days, with FREE admission for kids 12 and under on Thursdays and FREE admission for seniors 60 and up on Fridays. Discounted general admission and carnival coupons are available for purchase until August 2 and o er signi cant savings.
Wine Country Racing returns to the Fair August 3 – August 6 and August 10 – August 13. You can also catch a bonus week of racing after the Fair, Friday, August 18 through Sunday, August 20. On those Sundays, the popular Derby Dog Dash returns between races for all dogs under 25 pounds. Entry information is available online. Wine Country Hat Day at the Races is August 3, o ering a chance to show o  your biggest, boldest hat – for a good cause. Proceeds go to the Sonoma County Fair Foundation.
Get ready to celebrate “Holidaze at the Sonoma County Fair!” from August 3 – August 13. You won’t want to miss this year’s FREE Community Concert Series, the thrill of live horse racing, excitement of an ALL NEW giant carnival, nostalgia of “Holidays in Bloom” themed  ower show, live entertainment, incredible food, fun contests, new games and more. In the Kids Area this year, kids get to be the star of the show. Three times a day, little ones (10 and under) can transform into pirates, dinosaurs, clowns, or more. There is also the opportunity to the board the ship of the Pirates of the Russian River, or participate in craft activities. Free contests o er entertainment for even the littlest ones with the Diaper Derby, to the older family members with Oldest, Longest, Most.

The whole family can get together and touch and learn about captive- raised reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods with Creature Features. More free family fun features Acrobu o, San Francisco Street Performers, and topped o  with hilarious comedy routines from
the family-friendly Godfrey The Magician. Families can also join in the daily parade for the opportunity to dress up like a grape, carry a  ag, or march to the tune of someone else’s drum. Lorikeet Encounter
is the ultimate up-close experience for bird lovers. Your family will feel the excitement and fun by watching the High Diving Pirates of the Caribbean.
No fair is complete without
some animals, though. The barns at the Fair will be  lled with calves, lambs, chickens and rabbits, from
the local 4-H and FFA chapters, and independent exhibitors. The annual Junior Livestock Auction is one of the biggest in the state is the conclusion
of a year of hard work for local kids
– and an excellent way to stock your freezer with quality meat. But for those who want more an educational experience with the animals, head over to Saralee & Richard’s Barn to explore Sweet Lil’s Farm, which o ers the opportunity to watch baby chicks hatch, drive a tractor, and much more.
After the carnival, swing by the true Fair attraction: Fair food. Expect all your favorites like corn dogs, funnel cakes, pasta, ice cream, and barbeque.
Fair is open daily from 11:00 am
to 11:00 pm (gates close at 9:00 pm). The Carnival opens at 3:00 pm on opening day, August 3. Carnival opens Mondays - Fridays at 12:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am. Tickets are available at the Fair Box O ce and online.
