Bodega Volunteer Fire Department
responded to a record high of 212 emergency calls, an 11% increase over last year. Not a huge amount of calls but we are able to continue to handle these calls without a special fire
tax in our district and without paid staffing. We thank our volunteers for continuing to dedicate their time to help others in times of need. We also want to also thank our community for supporting us by making donations and attending our fundraising events. Bodega Volunteers Fire Department
is committed to sticking together with the remaining Volunteer Fire Departments in western Sonoma County as “North Bay Fire” under
the leadership of Gold Ridge Fire Protection District.

There will be one firefighter and one engineer on-duty at all times. They will support our amazing volunteers
with volunteers – from the Fire Chief to the Trainees... they interrupt their paying jobs and personal lives to serve the community.
Graton is one of the busiest volunteer fire departments in Sonoma County. Thank you to all of our volunteers, employers, and families for their understanding and support.
2020... Look Ahead: We will
hire our first six career firefighters and engineers this year, thanks to our Graton community passing the parcel tax by almost 77%!

who have sustained this department for 70 years! We could not have gone without paid staff for as long as we have without them! Volunteers will still be actively involved in running calls with day and night shifts available alongside the career staff. Our goal is to have a crew of three at the station at all times – which is considered the minimum staffing for a fire. Stay tuned for the exciting changes at Graton Fire...
