Chris Brokate not only helps Sonoma Co. recently he took a trip to Ecuador and helped organize a beach cleanup in the little fishing village. Chris stared “By partnering up with local environmental groups, municipalities and Rotary we hope to make a difference in this community with this cleanup and future cleanups.”
Volunteers Needed
Park-A-Month Volunteer Program - 2nd Saturday of the month. Family-friendly. Help beautify a park or community center. Hand tools and gloves will be provided, or bring your own (no power tools). Laguna Stewardship Days - 9a – 12p - once a month on a Saturday. Exotic plant removal, native plant and tree planting, trails construction and maintenance. Training is provided. Snacks are on us, but do bring gloves, water, and a friend! Children welcome but must be able to participate & supervised at all times. No RSVP required. School Yard Clean Up - Want your students to participate in Coastal Cleanup Day but can’t get them out on a field trip to a beach or local waterway? Want to show them that environmentally responsible behavior can begin at their school and in their own neighborhood? You can organize a Schoolyard Cleanup and accomplish all of these goals.
