In Love With Earth
Every year for the last 8 years, Leslie Curchack has published a calendar
of her photographs and donated the proceeds to Daily Acts, a nonprofit sustainability group started by Trathen Heckamn 17 years ago. The whole point of Daily Acts is to be conscious of the impact we have on our planet and on the lives of others. By living consciously and acting in accordance with
the principles of supporting a sustainable life, every day we contribute to the health and well-being of everyone and our home.
Daily Acts has been responsible for amazing work across our county....
from water catchment systems to demonstration gardens and sheet mulching projects on pubic and private lands. Volunteers spend hours and hours turning once useless land into fertile soil that grows food and sustains lives. We list Daily Acts workshops in our calendars as well because what they do is in concert with what we do...build and support participation in our community.
The annual Daily Acts Ripple the World Breakfast that raises money to sustain the organization was delayed because of The Fire. It has now been rescheduled for November 30th at the Santa Rosa Vets Building, 1351 Maple Ave., Santa Rosa starting at 8:30 am. It’s very
inspiring and gives one hope that postivie actions are making positive progress.
