Last month I set a goal “Just have some summer fun”. I spent a night at Point Reyes Hostel with 3 BFFs, and hiked to Sky Camp the next day. Our lodging was in a family room in a tidy separate building (just $130!). It had two sets of bunk beds. Let’s just say thank you to Franny and Gale who kindly took the top bunks! With my visitor here for a week, I’ve seen more of Sonoma County than usual. As always, the drive over Coleman Valley Road and up

Just a couple mishaps: A woman’s small tractor lurched out of control, and she was taken to the hospital. Another freak accident happened when a horse threw a shoe into the crowd, hitting a girl in the head—but she was okay. It all sounds like a crazy cartoon, and we’re grateful the injured are healing.
