Living Wage Needed = $15 in Santa Rosa Schools
offer the most delightful experience, I depend on this soil enhancement.
As a strong advocate of the fight for $15, I am proposing that the Santa Rosa City Schools district establish
a minimum wage equal to that of
the City of Santa Rosa, which will
be $15.00 effective July 1st of this year. The item is on our agenda for this Wednesday, February 26, 2020. However, there appears to be some resistance.
As we are awakening and aware how important it is to be in action of climate change improvements,
I am in support of going forward with plans to open Renewable Sonoma and bringing Sonoma Compost back to Sonoma County where it belongs, please.

Our district currently has many positions that start as low as $13.01, just $0.01 above the current State minimum wage, and filling some
of these positions is difficult to do, and will become even more so as the minimum wage around us increases.
 “Coronovirus, COVID-19,
Don’t Panick, Prepare”
If like me, you feel that a $15 minimum wage is an essential step towards a living wage, I would like to ask you take a minute to write to my fellow school board members and simply let them know that you are in support of Santa Rosa City Schools aligning its minimum wage with the City of Santa Rosa.
I think we should do more to prepare for a larger community spread of this virus. We need to go ahead and make a practical plan with our family and loved ones in case services begin to shutter, such
as schools, and stock up on food
and essentials just as we would in preparation for a natural disaster and for sheltering in place.

and there may be no compensation forthcoming for days off if we work for a small employer.
There is certainly no need for panic but it helps with peace of mind to at least have a personal plan in place for you and your family and loved ones until resources are firmly in place
to assist local communities with the response.
