This year the Doc Fest (SDFF 2020) takes place March 26-29 when 72 films from 49 countries will be screened at two venues: Sebastopol Center for the Arts and Rialto Cinemas®.
Documentary enthusiasts from places
as near as Occidental and as far away
as Capetown, South Africa will gather
in our little corner of Sonoma County.
They will discuss films over coffee
at Retrograde Roasters, Taylor Lane
and many other purveyors of the bean
that dot our landscape here. They’ll
rush from one venue to the other in
order to listen to a Special Program
at the Center for the Arts and then
catch a slate of short films at Rialto
Cinemas®, stopping quickly at Portico
or Sebastopol Sunshine Cafe along the
way for a quick bite.

     takes place March 3-31 at Rialto Cinemas, Sebastopol. The festival seeks to nurture an appreciation of Israeli culture in Sonoma County, exploring the human stories and important issues facing Israeli society, and the larger world. The official selections focus on issues of gender identity, love at old age, the pull between secular life, religion, and paganism, and the Palestinian and Israeli conflict.
The festival features several international award winners and the important Bay Area Premiere of Flawless, a film that explores the life of transgender teens. This festival brings the best and newest films to Sebastopol
All films are on Tuesdays twice on the day, at 1 pm and 7 pm.
FLAWLESS (Coming of Age) – BAY AREA PREMIERE – Tuesday, March 3, 1 pm & 7 pm. Eden has a deeply held secret. A post-show program will follow the 7 pm screening.
TEL AVIV ON FIRE (Comedy) – Tuesday, March 17, 1 pm & 7 pm
Young Palestinian Salam is an assistant on the soap opera “Tel Aviv on Fire.”
