HONOREE
For more than a century, City of Hope has served as a force for good in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other serious illnesses. Every discovery made and every new treatment developed provides people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully.
I find myself inspired by the work of the caring doctors, nurses, and support staff at City of Hope. They are the true superheroes. It is a moving experience to learn about the outstanding care, innovative research and vital education programs focused on eliminating such terrible diseases.
To those who have contributed to this incredible institution, including each of you in attendance this evening, thank you for your generosity and support.
Tonight, I am honored to be recognized by an organization that has done so much for so many.
Receiving the National Life Insurance Industry Council’s (NLIC’s) Spirit of Life® award is a humbling experience, especially considering the distinguished group of industry leaders who have been previous recipients. I proudly share their passion for supporting City of Hope’s incredible work.
The NLIC has done an outstanding job in raising much-needed funds for City of Hope. However, there is more work to be done. This evening I am reminded of the opportunity within all of us to support City of Hope and their life-changing approach to treatment.
Please join me in seeking opportunities to become more engaged with City of Hope. Lend your time and resources so that we may fully realize the potential of this world-renown institution, helping children and adults battling cancer today and fueling the research that will save lives in the future.
