 Philanthropy Powers Our Mission
A message from Kristin J. Bertell, Chief Philanthropy Officer
Time is precious. For millions of Americans, this precious resource will be made scarcer by a cancer diagnosis this year.
When we say City of Hope’s mission is to “bring tomorrow’s discoveries to people who need them today,” it is a recognition that our patients and families do not have time to wait — for appointments, for treatments, for cures to their cancer.
This is why your support matter so much. Philanthropy enables City of Hope to help more people, faster. It accelerates everything we do, from advancing lifesaving research, clinical trials and treatment innovation to recruiting top talent and expanding our infrastructure.
Visionary philanthropy, especially from our industry partners, helped transform City of Hope from humble beginnings to a world-class cancer center and leading diabetes research center. Today, we are evolving into a national health care system powered by a growing nationwide network
of corporate volunteers and donors. Together, we will ensure every cancer and diabetes patient receives the urgent care and compassion they deserve.
THANK YOU for joining us on this journey. We could not do what we do without you.
