City of Hope Tour and Hall of Fame Dinner
January 22 to 23, 2024
More than 80 business products industry executives spent a couple of days in Pasadena, CA learning about City of Hope. Tour participants were welcomed by Alberto Pugliese, M.D., Samuel Rahbar Chair in Diabetes & Drug Discovery Chair, Department of Diabetes Immunology. The group also heard from Kevin Taylor about City of Hope’s campus expansion, Dr. Yuman Fong, Director, Center for Surgical Innovation and Dr. Linda Malkas about the results of the clinical trials for AOH1996. This “kick-off” event set the tone and spirit of the rest of the “Fulfilling Hope” campaign honoring Harry Dochelli.
The event began January 22 with presentations followed by a cocktail reception at the host hotel, the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, CA. Those who participated in the golf outing had a a great day at Angeles. The event concluded with the Hall of Fame dinner back at the Langham. This year’s Hall of Fame recipients James Halley, Andy Clement and Brooks and Jennifer Smith (Jennifer Posthumously) were recognized for their longstanding support of City of Hope.
