City of Hope Offsite Tour, Golf Outing and Hall of Fame Dinner
February 20 to 21, 2023
More than 80 business products industry executives spent a couple of days in Pasadena, CA learning about City of Hope. Tour participants were welcomed by Linda Malkas, Ph.D., dean of translational science and the M.T. & B.A. Ahmadinia Professor in Molecular Oncology. The group also heard from Dr. Dr. Jamie Rand about breast cancer research and Harlan Levine about our new locations and AccessHope program. This “kick-off” event set the tone and spirit of the rest of the “ACCOmplishing Hope” campaign honoring Boris Elisman.
The event began February 20 with presentations followed by a cocktail reception at the host hotel, the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, CA. Those who participated in the golf outing had a a great day at Angeles National Golf Club. All participants gathered at the golf club for lunch and to hear from Dr. Saul Priceman about Immunotherapy research and Dr. Alberto Pugliese gave the group an update on City of Hope’s exciting research in Diabetes. The event concluded with the Hall of Fame dinner back at the Langham. This year’s Hall of Fame recipients Marlin Wendland and Greg Strand, were recognized for their longstanding support of City of Hope.
