   A note from the
2021 SPIRIT
OF LIFE®
HONOREE
Throughout the past 18 months or so, I’ve witnessed tremendous strength, commitment, and vision both on a personal level and within our industry. It is demonstrated so clearly by our colleagues at the City of Hope who remain unwavering in their pursuit of new treatments and research, truly with the hope of improving so many lives. We hope our efforts assist the Markel Friedman Accelerator Team and their truly remarkable work with ovarian and peritoneal cancer research.
While our events and tours and meetings might have been virtual, what leapt through the screen to me, was the absolute dedication and inspiration that the doctors, researchers, and staff have towards the eradication of cancer and diabetes, and to provide the highest level of care and compassion to those that seek it. Their ability to pursue such noble efforts is because of your support and generosity. I sincerely thank you for your contributions.
It’s an honor to be recognized by the National Insurance Industry Council (NIIC) with the Spirit of Life® Award for 2021 and to join the ranks of distinguished industry leaders that have had the privilege before me. I think we all agree on what a fantastic job the NIIC has done in support of the City of Hope. We may be competitors on the playing field but will come together without hesitation to contribute to a worthy cause. Your organizations, like Ryan Specialty Group, have a deep understanding and commitment to helping those in need.
We cannot stop the fight to continue innovative research and treatment, because these diseases will not stop until we wipe them out. The City of Hope will not stop fighting. I urge you to continue your support of the City of Hope and their efforts well beyond today. Your contributions can and will save lives.
With gratitude,
Tim Turner
