HSO Performances
The Susquehanna Chorale has enjoyed collaborating with area ensembles to form a symphonic choir for performances with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra for many years. The Chorale performed with the HSO in a Masterworks concert for the first time in 1996,
with Richard Westerfield conducting. Appearances with the HSO continued under Stuart Malina, who was appointed as the symphony’s new conductor in 2001. Other participating choirs included the Wheatland Chorale (WC), Robert Upton, Conductor; Susquehanna Children’s Chorale (SCC), Judith Shepler, Conductor; Harrisburg Opera Chorus (HOC), Marina Cherepinsky, Conductor; Alumni Chorale of Lebanon Valley College (ACLVC), Pierce Getz (2001-2006) and Gregg Mauroni (2008), Conductors; Messiah College Concert Choir (MCCC), Linda Tedford, Conductor; Messiah College Choral Arts Society (MCCAS), Linda Tedford, Conductor; Harrisburg Singers (HS), Susan Solomon Beckley, Conductor; Messiah University Concert Choir (MUCC), Joy Meade, Conductor; and Messiah University Choral Arts Society (MUCAS), Joy Meade, conductor.
