Educational Outreach Program Staff
 George H. Diehl, Conductor, Susquehanna Youth Chorale
George H. Diehl graduated magna cum laude from Susquehanna University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in Vocal Performance/Education. He
also holds a master’s in music technology degree from Valley Forge Christian College and received his certification from the
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Music Education. Currently, Mr. Diehl teaches choral and general music for grades six through twelve in the Camp Hill school district.
Mr. Diehl is an active member of TI:ME (Technology In Music Education), the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, serving as a guest conductor and clinician. As a vocalist, Mr. Diehl
has performed in numerous Central Pennsylvania community theater and operatic productions and was most recently seen in Open Stage Harrisburg’s production of Sondheim on Sondheim.
Mitchell Sensenig, Accompanist, Susquehanna Youth Chorale and Susquehanna Young Women’s Chorale
Mitchell Sensenig attended Mansfield University, where he studied choral conducting, voice, piano, and music education. While at Mansfield, he studied piano with Dr. Nancy Boston and voice with Dr. Todd Ranney. He also was a member of the university’s award-winning Concert choir and
performed with the marching band.
Mr. Sensenig sings bass and is the bass section
leader with the Susquehanna Chorale. He is on the Susquehanna Chorale board of directors, serving as the vice president, and manages the Chorale’s website. In 2013, he won a regional vocal competition from the National Association for Teachers of Singing and was
a finalist for the same in 2015. Mr. Sensenig frequently accompanies local school, church, and volunteer choirs and musical theater productions. He also serves as the assistant director of the Ephrata High School marching band.
Judith Shepler, Conductor, Susquehanna Children’s Chorale
Judith Shepler holds a Bachelor
of Music Education degree
from Messiah University. She
has pursued additional study at Westminster Choir College as
well as with renowned children’s choir conductors including Jean Ashworth Bartle, Betty Bertaux, Joan Gregoryk, Christine Jordanoff,
Helen Kemp, and Henry Leck.
Ms. Shepler plays a vital role in the Chorale’s Educational Outreach Program by conducting the
