of consulting engineering. Comprised of more than 120 independent engineering firms throughout the commonwealth representing nearly 12,000 engineers, land surveyors, scientists, technicians, and other professionals; ACEC/PA is the only association devoted exclusively to the promotion
and enhancement of the business
interests and profitability
of engineering firms
with offices in the
Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
Our goal is to enable member firms
to provide quality engineering services in the best interest of their clients and the public.
ACEC/PA’s member firms offer engineering expertise in a wide range of disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, architectural, environmental, industrial, surveying, nuclear, hydrology, forensic, geotechnical, land development, mining and more. The firms range in size from a single professional engineer to corporations employing tens of thousands of professionals with offices throughout the nation and the world.
ACEC/PA presents a strong, unified voice for the profession and
maintains a close working relationship with state departments and agencies
as rules, regulations and contracting principles are
developed and adopted.
Together with the American Council Engineering Companies (ACEC), ACEC/PA
provides executives of private engineering firms with the tools and educational opportunities to be better business owners and managers.

   ACEC/PA Vision
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) is devoted exclusively to the promotion and enhancement of the business interests of the consulting engineering industry and our partners in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
ACEC/PA presents a strong, unified voice in state and local policy debates to help ensure that member firms can compete fairly in an increasingly aggressive global market. It is also the goal of ACEC/PA
to increase awareness and educate the general public, prospective students, and political figures on the important role that engineers play in society; promote the importance of the engineering profession to the United States and global economy; and foster the education of future generations of engineering professionals.
