Accreditation Coordinator Report
PCPA Executive Board Meeting – December 2024
At the end of 2024 there are 177 PLEAC accredited agencies. The latest agencies to be granted PLEAC accreditation
at the October quarterly meeting are:
• Beaver County Sheriff’s Office
• Mansfield University Police Department
• Lock Haven University Police Department
• Newtown Borough Police Department
• Upper Chichester Township Police Department
The total number of PLEAC Accredited agencies to be granted Premier Status is 36, which means they have completed
a minimum of 5 reassessments and have been accredited for at least 15 years. The latest agencies to be granted
Premier Status at the October quarterly meeting are:
• Duquesne University Police Department (1st Premier Status award)
• Hampden Township Police Department (1st Premier Status award)
• Horsham Township Police Department (3rd Premier Status award)
• Susquehanna Township Police Department (1st Premier Status award)
During 2024, sixty-two (62) agencies went through their PLEAC assessment. Of the 62 assessments, 20 were initial
assessments adding 20 agencies to the list of PLEAC accredited agencies. Forty-two agencies had re-assessments
conducted with 39 being granted continued accredited status.
The 20th annual PLEAC Conference will be held March 31 – April 2, 2025 at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel.
Information and registration will be available early January 2025.
