Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC provided an innovative and strategic solution that transformed
an inefficient, flood-prone property at the PhilaPort SouthPort Terminal into a 75-acre, 9,700 vehicle storage lot. Improvements elevated the property for protection from the 100-year flood elevation and implemented state-of-the-art stormwater management solutions.
As part of PhilaPort’s Development Plan, this $24-million
Port Improvement project was completed over 33 months covering two Base Bid Phases and six Alternate Bid Phases.
The reconstruction was performed without disrupting day-to-day vehicle processing operations.
