FLOOD CONTROL
Our experienced design team utilizes the latest in hydrological modeling software and technology to provide the most efficient drainage design solutions for both regional and local facilities.
Overview
H&A has designed drainage facilities to serve watersheds that ranged from steep hillsides to flatlands and from natural to fully urbanized impermeable surfaces. Our in-house storm drain, sewer, and water design capabilities enable our facilities designs to fit seamlessly into proposed improvements. In addition, our storm drain staff works closely with our in-house grading and water quality experts to create cost effective solutions that meet all applicable drainage criteria.
KEY FACTORS
• Watershed evaluation and impacts of proposed development
• Hydraulic and hydrology calculations
• Pipes, box culverts and special structures
• LOMRs, CLOMRs for FEMA floodplain impacts
• Detention basins to reduce flow, pump stations and force mains
• Hydraulic structures to reduce velocity, divert flows and prevent damage
