  Role in the PA
I give advice, including being the Sis Dolly (Agony Aunt) of the PA.
Fun Facts:
I started Grade 1 when I was 4.5 years old. Apparently I wasn’t convinced why my cousin (who lived with us and was turning 6 that year) could go to school and I couldn’t, so my parents had to send me to school too.
What is the hardest part about working virtually for you? Connecting (both physically and intellectually) and building relationships with colleagues, especially new ones.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
My mom taught me never to buy anything on credit. If you cannot pay cash for it, you cannot afford it, so don’t buy it until you have saved up for it. There are only two things she advised were acceptable to get into debt for: your house (because it is an investment, and you don’t pay someone else’s bond) and your education (because it is an investment into your future). A car was the only purchase outside of these two that she could forgive getting into debt for (because of the cost), but advised that if you can help it, rather buy it cash.
What book read/movie seen recently would you recommend and why?
King Richard – it teaches a very profound lesson about the importance of believing/having faith, recognising potential (especially in our children), working hard with courage to achieve our goals/dreams, even when everyone else around us thinks it’s impossible...and most importantly, daring to stand out and be different, even if it means standing alone.
