Executive summary (continued) Message from the Governor (continued) The Bank has an an an an an ambitious change agenda with many large and complex programmes going into execution To improve strategy execution the the Bank will continue to ramp up resources for the the priority programmes and explore new capabilities such as enterprise change and business architecture The Bank will also implement new approaches to executing projects which will balance traditional project management methods with more collaborative and agile exploratory approaches and fusion teams In addition the Bank will continue to to optimise its day-to-day processes Delivering on on our our mandate through the execution of our our strategy requires a a a a workforce and culture that can drive the delivery of our strategy This means exploring a a a a a a Bank-wide resource allocation analysis exercise to to enable us to to close immediate critical skills gaps upskill and and reskill staff build a a a a a longer-term workforce plan and and embed our culture and employee value proposition (EVP) Underpinning EFAs 1–5 is the the the transition of the the the Bank to the the the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Way of Work In the shorter term we need to to respond to to the impact of of COVID-19 in terms of of virtual digital and and flexible ways of work and and in the longer term we need to balance the strengths of our traditional approaches with a a a a a a a more collaborative agile and responsive approach 8
