I worked as croupier dealing blackjack and poker in Durban’s largest casino, catering to high rollers who didn’t feel like driving to the Wild Coast.
If you had your own talk show, who would your first guest be and why?
The Queen of England. She maintained her leadership position for 70 years (some of the most tumultuous years in modern history) and is clearly still respected and loved by British citizens. She definitely has leadership lessons to share. I’d also love to hear anecdotes about dealing with Prime Ministers and other leaders, from Churchill to Johnson.
What is your most irrational fear?
Dark, confined spaces – I almost had a panic attack when they suddenly switched off the lights in Sodwana Caves without warning us.
What is the most recent new thing you tried?
Service from a new hairstylist!
