Oh boy.., 2020 has certainly been a year worth forgetting! What with this never ending Covid pandemic and the ensu- ing politics, makes me want to crawl under the covers. Much has been disrupted: supply chain, lock-downs of entire countries, cancelled trade shows globally. There’s even a shortage of containers avail- able from Europe! (Not to mention rocketing freight costs). And then there’s more bad news. Our main sport optics supplier, Optolyth,

who’s been our mainstay for about 30 years, and one of the few makers to make all of their stuff in Germany, has shuttered their production. That was a shock! They’ve been beset with covid prob- lems, forcing their decision. We replace them with the fine line of Minox binoculars and scopes, which some are made in Germany, which we had sold for years. The huge load of Swiss Army surplus, which we procured 10 months ago, is still stuck there. We had hoped we’d get it by now, but
are stymied with our broker coming down with Covid, and closed borders. The hope is that by summer we’ll finally get the goods, so keep the faith! Other than all of that, we wish you all a healthy, happy as possible, masked new year. Get your shots, keep your distance, and don’t forget that you can’t get infected via telephone and the web. We are here to serve you as usual, with bunches of new stuff.
