Happy Little Laundress
We found this delightful toy, the
happy little laundress, doing the
laundry, while in Germany on
this last trip. It had been out of
production for over fifteen years,
and when I saw an old sample at
the factory, I asked Markus Wag-
ner to re-issue it for us. Luckily
he had enough old parts to start on them. This is a beautifully lithographed, mechanical tin toy, with a wind-up mechanism. You wind it up with the enclosed key, and our little laundress gets busy scrubbing on the washboard. The action lasts over a half a minute, to the delight of all. Comes in box with Graphic.
