Research at the Hospice continued to flourish. The TORCH group (The Te Omanga Research Champions) met regularly in the last year. The relationship with
the Kokiri Marae research team developed further with plans to develop an MOU being discussed. Participation by researchers outside Te Omanga continued to grow.
Dr Salina Iupati, one of our Palliative Medicine Specialists, continued her important work towards a PhD on the 'Systematic review of models of effective community specialist palliative care services for evidence of improved patients related outcomes, equity, integration and health service utilization'.
Dr Kaye Basire and RN David Gillmore have finished data collection for the PRESERVE study on non- pharmacological interventions for prevention and management of delirium.
Retired Te Omanga Hospice Pharmacist Richard Bridge continued to participate in ongoing Pharmacovigilance studies.
