Executive Summary
Since the inception of EQUIP Recruitment our strategy has been to work with likeminded professional businesses
that believe in partnerships rather than transactions – this is especially important to our team who are accountable for the health and wellbeing of a large temporary workforce both in the office and Industrial sectors. Equally important is the reputation of our Recruiters when placing permanent roles from Administration Support through to Sales, Diesel Mechanics and Senior Management.
Over the years we have witnessed many changes in CABLEPRICE including Kawasaki Construction Machinery (KCM) merging with Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) followed by the end of the John Deer distribution arrangement.
More recently Equip understands that CABLEPRICE has been appointed as the Fuso truck authorised sales, parts and service dealer for Christchurch, Greymouth and Invercargill and has increased their Branch network – opening an operation in Timaru.
After more than 26 years of CABLEPRICE (NZ) Ltd supporting Scania Truck and
Bus customers throughout New Zealand they are creating their own network in New Zealand, we understand that the partnership will continue in the after-sales and service areas.

Our first placement with a CABLEPRICE was in May 2018 where we placed 2 temporary labourers through Glenn Goad, early in 2019 we worked with Megan Bramwell to place pick packers into the warehouse. Equip Palmerston North placed a parts assistant with Robert Beale into Rotorua and Lyn and Sue from our Petone Commercial division has more recently placed temporary Data Entry Operators through Stephanie Doran.
We have been told that CABLEPRICE has
an ongoing need for Diesel Mechanics and understand that the preferred assessment software is Skillcheck (the same as Equip). Olivia – it would be great to understand in more detail if you would like us to keep a watching brief on “hard to fill” roles as well as potentially support you in the Permanent Recruitment area.
