Trends in the (Indoor) Entertainment Industry
The indoor entertainment industry is continuously evolving. New concepts and trends align with the changing visitor needs and new operational demands.
As a leading entertainment design and realisation partner our goal is to address this and deliver to our clients strong and future proof projects that are also profitable.
Here are some of these existing and emerging trends.
Gamification
This trend has found its roots in gaming and is now integrated both in individual attractions as in complete entertainment centres. Visitors can score points on almost all individual rides or can create an account and collect points for all the rides combined. Custom ride and game experience, levelling and redeeming this points through merchandise or social media are key elements. They incentivize the visitor to come back for more, better, higher, faster,...
This can be an individual level and even in teams of friends, companies or combined goals for all visitors together. This creates the feeling of a community and belonging.
A success story which has proven its value in projects like TEKZONE and others.

Although never gone, traditional entertainment like bowling centres, darts, arcades, karaoke have been completely reinvented

Currently KCC is designing and realizing 4 locations in Europe (Belgium & France) and the MENA region (Egypt & KSA) and we feel this is just the start

Sports can be as fun as gaming and this is what we show in several new concepts we are bringing with our clients to the market this year.
In SPARKX we combine over 50 (extreme) sports under one roof. Both beginners, families and seasoned sporters can taste new sports and/or increase their stats.
Combined with mindfulness and a healthy F&B offering, SPARKX will set a new benchmark in sports entertainment.
In Abu Dhabi, Adrenark will open doors in spring 2023. The core values are fun, physical and family. In one location the whole family will enjoy activities together in a fun way. Several regional records will be broken in this new destination with the first multi level karting track and the world’s biggest suspended nets attraction.
