Protect Our Resources
1. Preserve natural areas and public open spaces
The Residence at Arbor Grove will help to beautify and enhance the wooded 6 acre tract of land by enhancing green spaces, landscaping and preservation of existing trees. Our site designers are environmentally conscious and will work with City Staff to come up with a plan that is both beautiful and will endeavor to minimally impact the surrounding environment.
2. Conserve natural resources and energy
The Residence at Arbor Grove will be designed with energy efficiency at a top priority. Much of this is required for any competitive application to TDHCA. However we already include the following in our standard design: IEEC Building Insulation- wall & roof, HVAC systems, Energy Star Appliances, Energy Star rated Windows, Energy Star Ceiling Fans, LED lighting, Cond Unit Shading, and Water Efficient plumbing fixtures.
OPG also hires an energy consultant who will evaluate the plans prior to construction and work with the architect to increase the energy rating when possible.
