Enhanced Thermal Conduction Technology Overview
Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) is an ex-situ thermal process that heats stationary contaminated soil, volatilizes the contaminants, and destroys the o -gases. This design allows for much lower operating costs through higher thermal e ciency, compared to other thermal technologies, which “tumble” the soil. The versatility of this cost e ective process makes it a necessary addition to the remediation practi- tioner’s toolbox.
