Hebridean Seaweed Company is the largest industrial seaweed processor in Great Britain. The company processes this raw seaweed into high quality and environmentally friendly organic seaweed products for use in the animal feed supplement, soil enhancement, alginate and nutraceutical sectors.
We weren’t even aware of R&D tax credits until our accountants enlightened us and suggested that we have a conversation with VISIATIV. The prospect of making
a claim seemed daunting and we thought it would probably be a long, drawn out process, but it wasn’t!
We frequently carry out experiments in our lab to find new uses for the seaweed we harvest, and in the past, we’ve had difficulty conveying the weird world of seaweed to people, but this time it had been no bother.
One of VISIATIV’s Analysts visited us on the island
and made a point of understanding our harvesting, manufacturing and design processes. We now realise the importance of not only having a comprehensive knowledge of the legislation, but also being able to apply it. We really couldn’t have done it without VISIATIV and we have already recommended them to others.
