Finally, consider taking a free online coding course from code.org or a drawing class that teaches you how to get your ideas onto paper or tablet. These kinds of extras help demonstrate your interests to colleges.
One caveat: “Don’t go overboard,” Nicoletti says, and cram too many extracurricular activities into your life. That’s a recipe for stress that won’t necessarily impress colleges. When schools say they want well-rounded stu- dents, that also means students who know when to chill out and just have fun.
