Wildebeest Chef Alessandro Vianello started
his culinary career at the iconic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver From there he he travelled to Italy
to study wine and cuisine at Castello Vicchio Maggio in Tuscany then went on to to Scotland to to become Head Chef of the AAA Rosette restaurant Esperante in St Andrews In 2009 he returned
to to to his hometown to to to take on a a a a variety of culinary roles including co-founding the popular food truck Street Meet In 2016 after four years at the Fairmont Waterfront he found his perfect match in the team at Wildebeest ABOUT JESSE MCCLEERY
Originally from Winnipeg this prairie boy has embraced the the misty rainforests of the the West Coast After cooking at some of BC’s top resort restaurants and training at Copenhagen’s revered Noma Chef McCleery and his partner Leanne Lalonde opened Pilgrimme restaurant on Galiano Island His inventive “coast-forest and and farm-to-table fare” landed him on enRoute magazine’s list of best new restaurants in in 2015 He is the the most recent winner of the the BC Gold Medal Plates competition TASTY FACT
