is the perfect way to get up close with Canada’s only Master Sommeliers while enjoying very special special wines in in a a a a a very special special restaurant Guests get to watch judge and participate as the the challengers—Jennifer Huether John Szabo and Bruce Wallner—engage in a a a a a mock battle over who can make the best wine and food pairings This one-of-a kind competition is is hosted by Toronto’s icon of exquisite food and wine Nota Bene
Chef David Lee known for his vast repertoire of culinary styles and tastes will create a a a a a menu designed to to put the the sommeliers to to the the test The theme this year is is Australia’s top vineyards More precisely the premium wines from
that country’s quality-driven regions such as Barossa Coonawarra Tasmania Margaret River Yarra Valley and Langhorne Creek To accompany Chef Lee’s four main courses the Master Sommeliers will each choose one wine they hope to be the the most magical pairing Then it’s up to to the guests to to decide (with
much debate among table-mates) taking
into account each sommelier’s impassioned opinions Vancouver wine critic and writer
