Bold, Balanced, and Beautiful! Una is a stunning 4-year-old mare with great expression, fantastic lines, and charm. She has classic conformation with very well-balanced paces and good rhythm. When free jumping, she not only displays superior technique and athleticism, but extreme intelligence, carefully calculating every step of the way. Una is very lightly started under saddle and just recently began trotting fences. When ridden, she has always been kind, displaying a willingness toward whatever was asked of her. A trait she received from her sire Ubiko. Ubiko is a friendly, heartwarming stallion, who has spent most of his life competing as a successful show jumper. Even though competing was his primary focus, he has managed to produce two offspring to date, Una, and a son named Ubiluc. Ubiluc,
is a successful show jumper, who has had an incredible 2021 show jumping season with veteran rider Daniel Bluman. While successfully building their way towards Grand Prix competitions. In August of this year, Ubiluc won the North American Major League FEI 5* competition in Toronto. Una displays similar traits and characteristics to her brother, and it appears she’s destined to follow in his footsteps.
Sire: Ubiko’s talent and great jumping technique is no surprise given the quality of his bloodlines. Like his sire Ustinov, he is a powerful, compact stallion. He is quick and cat
like in the air, being very neat and tidy with both his front and hind legs. It helps having Contender on his dam’s side. Contender was one of the most sought after show jumping stallions of his generation, having produced 127 approved sons and 498 successful offspring in the sport. Although Ubiko has only one 9 year old son, and a 4 year old daughter, he
has already proven his ability to produce a Grand Prix level show jumper. His son Ubiluc is currently winning 1.60m Grand Prix’s.
Dam: Una’s dam “La Chasse” (Cassie) is a successful show jumper, who at an early age received Elite status from Hanoverian Verband. Cassie has an excellent temperament, good conformation, quality jumping technique, and outstanding scope. She is remarkably elastic and light in all three gaits. This is courtesy of her Hanoverian sire Le Premier. This sire was extraordinary in his type, expression, movement, and jumping ability. Together with riding master Albert Kley, Le Primeur rose to the Grand Prix level of show jump- ing, all the while having the attributes of a top Grand Prix dressage horse. The fact that Cassie’s mother line is flooded with the best Holsteiner pedigree, made her path towards show jumping inevitable. These include the Grand Prix stallions Carolus by the legend- ary Capitol, Come On who competed Internationally with Ludger Beerbaum, then went on to be a mega star with HRH Princess Haya of Jordan. All of this made possible by the Holsteiner foundation sire Cantus. Cassie has the unique combination of character and ability, that allows her to be suitable for any amateur, yet still desired by a professional.
