Alchemist | Paulo Coelho
Alchemist is the third novel by the world-famous Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho. Since 1996, it was read many times in Turkey, and it was praised and appreciated. This novel, which was written ba- sed on a small story in the famous Mesnevi of Mevlana as the great classic of the East, beca- me a “classic” masterpiece for the readers that protect the children in themselves.
The Alchemist is the story of the fairy-tale life of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd. He starts his road from Spain and seeks his treasure near the pyramid in Egypt. But this is a book of re- commendation at the same time; it is a guide for life and morality that searches for answers to the following questions: “How are you going
to dominate your destiny? How will you build your hap- piness?”. As a mystical fairy tale, this novel is loved that much thanks to its characteristics of guide.
Reading the Alchemist is like waking up at dawn and watc- hing the sunrise while everyone else is asleep.
