Alışverişte kadın ve erkek arasındaki fark
Bir kadın, bir kıyafet mağazasının vitrininin önünden ge- çiyor. Hiç durmuyor. Şöyle bir vitrine göz atıyor, kapıdan içeriye bakıyor ve durmadan devam ediyor. Çünkü o mağazadaki kıyafetlerin üzerine olmadığını biliyor. Muh- temelen o kıyafetler vücudunu güzel göstermiyor. He- men yanındaki mağazaya giriyor. Sağ taraftan mağazayı gezmeye başlıyor. Kıyafetlerden birkaç tanesini askıdan alıyor, üzerine tutuyor ve burun kıvırıp devam ediyor. Kı- yafetin yakasını beğenmedi. Muhtemelen dekoltesi fazla geldi ya da kıyafet omuzlarını küçük gösterdi. Bu şekilde mağazada gezinmeye devam ediyor ve belki 10-15 kıya- fete daha dokunuyor, bakıyor... Sadece üç dört tanesini üzerine tutuyor ve bir iki tanesini denemeye değer gö- rüyor. O denediği eteği ise bir önceki mağazada üzerine denemediği etekle kıyaslıyor. “Öteki daha güzeldi,” diyor. Öte yandan o eteğin üzerine giyeceği buluzu düşünü- yor. ‘Bu kıyafete uygun ayakkabısı var mı’ onu düşünüyor. Kahverengi ayakkabısının tonunun bu lacivert için uygun ton olmadığına karar veriyor. Zaten bu etek de kalçasını büyük gösterdi. Hiçbir şey almadan mağazadan çıkıyor ve iki saat boyunca yedi sekiz mağazaya bu şekilde girip çı- kıyor. Bazısından bir şeyler alıyor, bazısına ise sadece yeni bir şey var mı diye giriyor. Bazısına ise beğendiği ayakkabı indirime girdi mi onu görmek için giriyor... Alışverişte ka- dın davranışı genel olarak böyle seyrediyor.

The difference between men and women in shopping
A woman goes by the window of a clothing store. She doesn’t stop. She glances at the showcase, looks through the door and keeps going. Because she knows that the clothes in that store do not match her. Probably they clothes don’t look good on herself. She goes into the store next to that store. She starts to walk around the store on the right. She takes a few of the clothes from the hangers, puts the cloth on herself and she is not content, she moves away. She didn’t like the collar of the cloth. Probably she didn’t like the decollete of the cloth or the outfit showed her shoulders smaller. In this way, she continues to walk around the store and touches maybe 10-15 more clothes. She only holds three or four of them on herself, and she thinks only one or two pieces worth to try. She compares the skirt with the one she tried on the first store. “The oth- er was more beautiful,” she says. On the other hand, she’s thinking about the blouse she’s going to wear with this skirt. She also thinks, “do I have the shoes suitable for this outfit?” She decides that her brown shoes do not have the right tone for this navy blue. This skirt also showed her hip bigger than it really is. She leaves without buying anything and goes in and out of seven or eight stores for two hours. She buys some items in some stores or she only checks what is new in some stores. She enters some stores to see whether the shoes she likes are now discounted. In general, this is the way a woman behaves in shopping.
