Dönüş yolunda çok acıkıyorum ve kendimi sanat mü- zesinin hemen yanında; önünde uzun kuyrukların oluş- tuğu ve ünlülerin de uğrak yeri olan sosisli sandviççide buluyorum. Bizim kokoreççiler gibi minik Woswos bir karavanda yapılan, müthiş leziz sosislileri sadece yerel içeceklerle tüketmenizi öneririm. Bu arada, Reykjavik’de Mcdonalds gibi fastfood markaları yok; çünkü yerel mar- kalar dışında bir yeme-içme yeri açmak yasak.
Akşam yemeğinden sonra, otelde biraz dinlenip, bu defa kuzey ışıkları turu için tekrar limana geliyorum. 23.00’da başlıyor turumuz ve yaklaşık bir saat sonra, okyanusun ortasına ulaşıyorum. -25 derecedeki bekle- yişimiz başlıyor. Uçsuz bucaksız bir gökyüzü altında reh- berlerimizin bizi yönlendirmesi ile tam da kuzey yıldızının yanında bir hareketlenmeye doğru yöneliyoruz. Çok az da olsa, hayalimdeki ışıkları görmemin mutluluğu ile üç saat sonra teknemiz geri dönüş yolculuğuna başlıyor. Bana kalsa, sabaha kadar kalıp bekleyebilirdim. Tama-
mıyla, “şans” olarak nitelendirilen ışık ziyafeti, bize ken- dini çok az gösteriyor; ama ben kararlıyım! Bir gün tekrar geleceğim, yetmedi çünkü bana!
İkinci günün sabahında Blue Lagoon’a gidiyoruz. Bu- rası, termal bir gölet. Volkanik kayaların arasından göle ulaşıyorsunuz ve çok modern bir tesisle karşılaşıyorsu- nuz. Mayolarınızı giyip, işaretli bölgelerden suya girmek çok heyecan verici. Suyun sıcaklığı 38-39 derece. Hava sıcaklığının -10 derece olduğu bir günde, bu sıcacık suya girmek çok keyifli. Tabii ki bembeyaz çamuru ile yüzü- nüze kil maskesi yapıp, suyun içindeki servis alanından içeceklerinizi alıp, yudumlamak da çok keyifli... Başınızı ıslatmadığınız sürece, kesinlikle üşümezsiniz; ama suya dalıp çıkmadan da keyfini çıkarmak mümkün değil! Mut- laka deneyin derim.

I recommend you to consume the ter- ri c delicious hot dogs only with local drinks, made in a miniature Woswos caravan like ours selling grilled sheep’s intestines. Meanwhile, Reykjavik does not have fast-food brands like Mcdonalds; because it is forbidden to open an eating and drinking place other than local brands.
After dinner, I relaxed at the hotel and then, this time I come back to the port for a tour of the northern lights. Our tour starts at 23.00 and after about an hour, I reach the middle of the ocean. Our waiting starts at -25 degree. With our guides directing us under an end- less sky, we go towards a mobility precisely near the northern star. Even if it is too little, I am happy to see the lights in my dreams, and after three hours our boat starts return journey. If it was up to me, I could stay and wait for it all night long. The light feast, completely
described as “luck”, shows itself to us very little; but I am determined! One day I will come again, because it came short with me!
In the morning of the second day we go to Blue La- goon. This is a thermal pond. You reach the lake from between the volcanic rocks and you meet a very mod- ern facility. It’s very exciting to put on your swimsuits and get into the water from the marked areas. The wa- ter temperature is 38-39 degrees. On a day when the air temperature is -10 degrees, entering this warm wa- ter is very enjoyable. Of course, it is also very enjoyable to make clay mask with white mud for your face, take your drinks from the service area in the water and sip it... As long as you do not wet your head, you certainly will not get cold; but it is not possible to enjoy it with- out diving out! I say to you to try it certainly.
