İnce bıyıkları ile efsane oldu...
50’lerde tüm dünyada Clark Gable rüzgarı esiyordu. Yakışıklı aktör, ince, düzgün bıyıkları ile bir akım oluş- turmuştu. Türkiye’de ise, bu akımı ilk uygulayanlardan Ayhan Işık oldu. “Klark” bıyığı diye erkekler arasında ku- laktan kulağa yayılan bu kesim, bıyığı olabildiğince ince keserek dudak çizgisinin hemen üzerinde uzunlamasına bir çizgi haline getirilerek şekilleniyordu. Ayhan Işık’tan ilham alan pek çok genç, kuaför salonlarında bu bıyıktan istiyordu. Işık, “Klark” bıyığı ile bir ikon haline gelmiş, pe- şinden pek çok kişiyi bu akıma sürüklemişti.
Ne giyerdi?
Ayhan Işık, öldüğü 1979 yılına kadar filmlerinde hep baş rol oynadı... Jilet gibi takımların içerisinde tüm yakışıklılığı ile beyaz perdede boy gösteren Işık, kaşe ekose ceketleri- nin içinde giydiği gömlekleri, asla vazgeçmediği kravatları, fularları, şapkaları ile tam bir dönem beyefendisi idi. Zaman zaman onu trençkotlar ve polo tişörtlerle de görüyorduk. Çünkü zaman değişiyor, moda değişiyor ve Ayhan Işık da değişiyordu.
Yoksa bu değişim, 50’ler modasına elveda mı?
1950’lerin modası dönemin sosyal atmosferinin yansı- tıyordu. Bu atmosfer filmlerde jönlerin giydiği kıyafetlere yansıyor, köşklerde, konaklarda ve partilerde boy gösteren beylerin stilini etkiliyordu. Fakat, moda rüzgarları artık yön değiştiriyordu Takım elbiselerin, smokinlerin yerini çeşitlili- ğe önem veren daha zengin bir moda anlayışı alıyordu. Bey- ler için daha çok esnekliğe ve seçeneğe sahip, tutuculuktan uzak kıyafet modelleri üretilmeye başladı. Zaman zaman Ayhan Işık’ı da trençkotlar ve polo tişörtlerle de görmeye başlamıştık. Ayhan Işık’ın stili de döneme ayak uyduruyordu.
His pencil moustache became a legend...
In the 50’s, Clark Gable was very popular all over the world. The handsome actor created a trend with his thin and smooth mustache. In Turkey, Ayhan Işık was the one who followed this trend rst. In the “Clark” mustache that spread abroad among man, the mustache was cut as thin as possible and shaped into a longitudinal line just above the lip line. Many young man inspired by Ayhan Işık asked for this mustache in hairdressers. Işık, had become an icon with his “Clark” mus- tache and was followed by many others.
What did he used to wear?
Ayhan Işık always played the leading role in his lms until his death in 1979. Dressed to the nines, he was a full-time gen- tleman with his suits, the shirts we wore under his blazers, his neckties he could never resist, scarves, and hats. From time to time we also saw him wearing trench coats and polo t-shirts because time and fashion was changing, hence, Ay- han Işık was also changing.
Was this change a farewell to 50’s fashion?
The 1950’s fashion was re ecting the social atmosphere of the period. This atmosphere, re ected to the clothes of the young actors in the lms, was a ecting the style of the gen- tlemen showing up in the pavilions and parties. However, the fashion winds were now changing their direction. The suits and tuxedos were being replaced by a richer fashion sense that emphasized diversity. Clothes that have more exibili- ty and diversity, which were far from being conservative has begun to be produced. From time to time we saw Ayhan Işık wearing trench coats and polo t-shirts. The style of Ayhan Işık was keeping up with the turn.
59
