Sevgililer Günü, Anneler Günü derken şimdi de Babalar Günü geldi çattı. Bu kez hediye bekleme sırası, hep hedi- ye alan ulu çınar babalarımızda...
Hediye alırken dikkat etmeniz gereken iki önemli nokta var: Birincisi bütçeniz, ikincisi ise, babanızın ihtiyacı olan şey. Bundan sonrası tamamen babanızın/eşinizin zevkle- ri, tarzı ve sizin yaratıcılığınıza kalmış.
Gerçi ben hep özel günlerde hediyeye ne gerek var mantığı ile yaklaşan bir baba ile büyüdüm. ‘’Sana özel olan insan her zaman özeldir, mutlu etmek için özel bir güne ne gerek var.‘’ felsefesini benimseyen ve uygulamaya/uygu- latmaya çalışan babamı bu Babalar Günü biraz utandıra- cak bir paket hazırlayarak, sürpriz yapmaya karar verdim. Babamıza ne alsak diye düşünen bizler/çocuklar ile onlar- la iş birliği yapacak anneler için, babama hazırladığım he- diye paketi üzerinden küçük bir TOP 5 listesi hazırladım.
WHAT TO GET FOR FATHER’S DAY?
After Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, now it is the time for Father’s Day. This time, our fathers who always buy us gifts are awaiting his gifts.
There are two prominent things to pay attention when buying a gift: First is your budget, the second is the needs of your father. After that, all depend on the taste of your father/spouse, style, and your imagination.
I grew up with a father who always points out that there is no need for a gift on special days. He always stated,‘’If someone is special for you, he/she is always special, you don’t need a special day to make him/her happy‘’. However, I decided to surprise my father by preparing a package for him that would probably embarrass him. Getting inspired by the gift package I prepared for my dad, I noted down a short TOP 5 list for children who are contemplating about what to get, and for mothers who would cooperate with them for this purpose.

Genelde babalarımız iddialı parçaları almak konusunda çekimser davranır. Basic parçaları giyerek risk almadan, sıradan bir tarz yaratarak hayatlarına devam eden baba- larımızın bu algısını kırmak biz sevgili evlatlarının göre- vidir. Benim bu konuda test edip onayladığım bir durum var ki o da şu: Ne zaman babama ‘’asla giymem, çok id- dialı, fazla renkli‘’ dediği parçalar aldıysam hepsini fazla fazla giymekle kalmadı, üstüne hediyeyi aldığım mar- kayı kendine mesken tuttu. In general, our dads are hesitant to buy ambitious pieces. It is the duty of our beloved children to change this perception of our dads, who continue to live with an ordinary style by wearing basic pieces, without tak- ing any risk. There is an assessment I have tested and con rmed in this regard: When I bestowed my father as a gift the pieces he would never wear, he reacted by say- ing “I would never wear this, very ambitious, too color- ful”.
