EDINBURGH CASTLE
The castle, built on rocks, has
a dominant position over the historical city and the Royal
Mile, the main street of the city. Edinburgh Castle, located in
the Castle Rock area of the city, was a place where witches were executed, but now it is the most famous tourist area in Scotland. The symbol of Edinburgh, the building is one of the rare castles in the world that has survived for about 1000 years without being demolished. Apart from the enormous city view, the castle
is a very important structure with St. Margaret's Chapel that it holds.
PALACE OF HOLYROODHOUSE
Palace of Holyrood is the Scottish residence of the British royal family. It is located at the south end of the Royal Mile
and extends from there up
to Edinburgh Palace. In 1128
a church cell called Holyrood Abbey and called "Abtei" was built here. The section, once the guesthouse of "Abtei", has been expanded step by step. Also, between 1528-1532, a residence tower was formed
in the northwest of the site, among many other things. The palace in its present form was built in the 17.th century. The most prominent reason for its transition to history is thanks to Mary Stuart, who resided from time to time.
LOCH LOMOND
Standing out among the lakes in the Great Britain island, Lomond Lake is an important source
of fresh water. Since it has a structure resembling a fjord,
it is characterized by Loch, a
general name given to lakes in this structure in Scottish language. The lake contains around 60 islands. Located within the boundaries of Loch
Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the lake is protected with its unique ecosystem. The surroundings of the lake are well-kept and clean. There are very pleasant stops where picnic tables are placed half an hour away. It is a place to be seen with the mountains rising behind the lake, lake houses and every shade of green.
LOCH NESS
Loch Ness is a valley lake located in the Highlands of Scotland. Loch Ness, which is quite deep and wide, is 15,8 meters above sea level. The surface of the lake, which is fed by 5 rivers, is 56.4 square kilometers. The longest range of the lake is 40 kilometers and its deepest point is 230 meters. There is a legendary sea creature claimed to live in the lake. The Loch Ness Monster aka 'Nessie' is said to have been seen by a few people. Although there is no evidence of its existence, it is still sought. Only a few controversial photos and sonar
scans are available. When the photographs were examined, most of them were presented as evidence only by way of simulation. When the photographs are examined more carefully, it is observed that these analogies are generally objects floating on the water. A log floating in the lake is an example. This creature was first named by the word "Monster" in 1933 by the officer Alex Campbell in the region. Those who claim to have seen it since these years have described this monster as a water snake, dragon or a monster fish and said that it generally had a small head and a long neck.
